Photoelectric sensors

Description

Photoelectric sensors - they send a beam of light, the sensor is activated when the light reception is interrupted. They are equipped with a light emitter and receiver. Optical sensors are used in a wide arm of industrial and home automation.

Reflective sensors - these are sensors that are the easiest to install. They work on the principle of emitted light, and when the light is exceeded, it is reflected back to the sensor from the object that exceeded it. The use of such sensors is a good solution in production and, for example, in calculating machines. These sensors have their drawbacks, they have a limited range of up to 2m and can work differently depending on the color of the object.

Reflective sensors - these sensors work by sending a light signal through the emitter and returning to the receiver after reflection from the reflective plate. They break when the beam of light is interrupted. These sensors are more difficult to install because they require the appropriate setting of the emitter and the reflecting plate, but they have a longer operating range and the color or color of the object do not matter.

barriers - in this case the emitter and the receiver are placed separately, which are placed opposite each other and they activate when the signal sent from the transmitter to the receiver is intersected. they have the farthest range and a set of several such barriers is called a light curtain, which is mainly used in security systems

Slit sensors - they are very similar in operation to barrier sensors, but they have a much shorter working distance, up to several centimeters. However, they are much faster and more accurate, so they can already notice a small break in, for example, the material being scrolled

Please note that optical sensors are not intended for dusty work

  • Flat type (PS-F): easy to install in all conditions.
  • Rectangular type (PS-R): Detection distance adjustment by potentiometer.
  • High chemical resistance to acetone, xylene, gas, diesel and alcohol.
  • Range from 30 mm to 12 m.
  • All sensors meet the requirements of IP67.
  • Short circuit protection, reverse polarity protection.
  • The option with background clipping ensures reliable detection of various objects.
